For GPA, use letter;credits in the entries and letter;points in the table. Failing grades remain included. No institution-specific retake rules are applied.

These are configurable mathematical scales, not official academic equivalences. Confirm weighting, pass rules, GPA table and rounding with your institution.

Formula & example

The initial 4.0 table is editable, with A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1 and F=0. Enter letter;credits per course, without names. Multiplying points by credits and dividing by total credits gives the GPA. A with 3 credits, B with 2 and F with 1 gives 3. Failed courses remain in the denominator; retakes, exclusions and plus/minus grades must follow your institution’s policy and your own table. Unknown letters or duplicate table labels are rejected.
