The current average describes completed assessments only. Enter their combined percentage weight and the target final grade. With 80 so far,40% completed and a target of 85, the remaining 60% needs 88⅓. A threshold outside the permitted range is marked impossible or already guaranteed, depending on direction. For inverted scales, smaller numbers are better and the remaining grade must be at most the threshold. A fully completed assessment has no remaining grade to solve.
